DECEMBER 26 - JANUARY 4 - UGANDA
About your trip
On this trip, team members will have the opportunity to experience all the work Sozo Children is involved in Uganda. You can look forward to traveling into the village to host our kid’s club, participating in nightly devotions, ministering in the village, and countless other meaningful experiences. This trip will be marked by significant relationships with our Sozo kids, staff, and community. We are confident once you experience this incredible country and the people in it you will feel so connected it will be difficult to return home.
This December trip is a unique time to travel to Uganda as most all our kids are in house for the holidays. Team members will get extended time with our in-house kids compared to other trips where the kids are in school. This time of the year is such a fun time for not only our kids but also our team members. Katie Colucy, a past team member, says, “I love the December trips because all the kids are home from school and it’s like one big party at each house. It’s amazing to be a part of the family when you’re there!” We are confident you will not regret joining this trip to Uganda!
We believe a day of rest is much needed for your time in Uganda. This team will get to decide between one of two rest days we call the “Day in Creation”. Your team will choose to either drive to Jinja, the source of the Nile River where you will have the opportunity to bunjee jump (if you choose to do so), take a boat ride, and eat at a great local café. If your team chooses safari, you will embark on an incredible experience at Lake Mburo National Park! You will see many African animals as you are taken on a guided game drive and boat ride. You can also look forward to stops at the equator and an African drum making shop. (Note: These experiences are not included in the trip cost and will cost $150 for safari and $75 + optional bunjee fee for Jinja.)
